A simple, low-cost way to keep a ceramic mug from going cold at a desk, but it won't heat a drink up and does little for insulated metal tumblers.

Overview
A compact electric warming plate, about 5 inches across and 1 inch tall, that keeps a mug of coffee, tea or soup warm on a desk or countertop via an inline on/off switch and indicator light.
- About 5 inches diameter, 1 inch high
- Fits mug bases up to 3.5 inches
- Inline on/off switch with red indicator light
- Roughly 42 inch cord
Who it's for
Desk workers who lose track of a mug and want it to stay drinkable, not scalding hot, by the time they get back to it. Not a fit for anyone using an insulated steel tumbler, or wanting the plate to actively reheat a cold drink.
Pros and cons
- Simple inline on/off switch, no digital controls
- Non-skid base and long, roughly 42 inch cord
- Works for candle wax and small dishes, not just mugs
- Low-cost, straightforward warming plate
- Not effective on insulated metal tumblers
- Keeps drinks warm rather than genuinely hot for some users

Frequently asked questions
Does it reheat cold coffee?
It's a warming plate, not a reheater; it maintains temperature rather than bringing a cold drink back up to hot.
