Overview
A 40W electric mug warmer with four temperature settings from 113°F to 167°F, meant to keep a drink hot on a desk or countertop rather than reheat a cold one.
- 4 temperature settings, 113 to 167°F
- 8-hour auto shutoff
- Non-slip base
- Doubles as a candle warmer
Who it's for
Works well for desk-bound coffee or tea drinkers who want a set-and-forget way to keep a mug warm through a workday. Not the choice for anyone wanting to reheat a drink that has already gone cold, since it maintains temperature rather than raising it quickly.
Pros and cons
- Four selectable temperatures from 113°F to 167°F
- 8-hour auto shutoff for unattended use
- Works with ceramic, glass, and stainless steel cups
- Doubles as a candle warmer
- Casing cracked for some buyers after months
- One unit stopped heating after 4 months
- Can switch on from an accidental tap
Performance notes
A press of the plate cycles between the four temperature settings, and an 8-hour auto shutoff cuts power if the warmer is left running. Because it is a flat heating plate rather than an enclosed heater, one reviewer cautioned that even a light tap while it is plugged in can turn it on.
