Waterdrop Inline Water Filter

Overview

An NSF 42 certified inline water filter for refrigerators, ice makers, and other 1/4-inch water lines, using a coconut shell carbon block rated for about a year of use.

This is a universal inline filter rather than a proprietary cartridge, installed in the water line ahead of the appliance instead of inside the fridge housing, which is why it lists compatibility across Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, and several other brands. It comes with both compression and push-to-connect fittings, and the listing is explicit that it will not reduce total dissolved solids.

• NSF 42 certified for chlorine, taste, and odor
• Fits any 1/4-inch water line
• 1-year filter lifespan
• Compression and push-to-connect fittings included

Who it's for

Anyone whose refrigerator lacks a built-in filter, or who wants to add filtration ahead of an ice maker, water cooler, or RV water line. Not a fit if you specifically need TDS reduction.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The coconut shell activated carbon block filters to a stated 0.5 micron accuracy and carries NSF 42 certification for reducing chlorine, taste, and odor, plus NSF 372 for lead-free materials. It sits inline on any 1/4-inch line rather than requiring a dedicated fridge filter housing.
