Overview
Grace Digital designs the Mondo Elite to stream apps, stations and files from a phone, a USB drive or a media server. Two drivers and a five band equalizer shape the sound, and a color display shows album art.
Built-in apps and stations plus Bluetooth are the reason to buy it for a kitchen or bedside table. The limit is portability: power is not clearly listed, and the listing mixes battery and AAA entries.
Who it's for
Listeners who want internet stations, podcasts and streaming apps in one table-top unit will use the display and equalizer. People who need voice control should note the model is microphone-free, and portable users should plan for the optional battery.
Pros and cons
- Streaming apps and stations built in
- Color display with album art
- Bluetooth and dual band Wi-Fi
- Five band equalizer
- No microphone for voice control
- Battery sold separately
- Power listing is inconsistent
Performance notes
Two drivers and the equalizer give control over bass and treble in the room. Streaming quality depends on your Wi-Fi connection. Hi-res file support applies only to local files.
