Overview
A kitchen counter or bedside table is the natural spot for this Grace Digital radio, which streams apps and stations, plays local files from USB, and pairs with a phone over Bluetooth. A color display shows station and album art, and the cabinet has a classic walnut look.
Streaming apps and a single front ported speaker are the reason to buy it as a simple everyday radio. The limit is the wiring: wired networking needs an optional USB to Ethernet dongle that is not included.
Who it's for
Listeners who like stations, podcasts and streaming apps in a wood-look cabinet will use the display and equalizer. Those wanting wired Ethernet out of the box, or an outdoor speaker, should look at a different radio.
Pros and cons
- Streaming apps and stations built in
- Color display with album art
- Bluetooth and dual band Wi-Fi
- Five band equalizer
- Ethernet needs an optional dongle
- Wall power required
- Radio band entry is unclear
Performance notes
A single full range driver with a front port gives fuller sound than a small speaker alone, and the equalizer adjusts the balance. Streaming quality depends on your Wi-Fi link. Local files from a USB drive can play at hi-res quality.
