Overview
Stretching over the top and sides of a queen mattress, this protector adds a waterproof barrier under a knit surface that feels cool to the touch. The fit comes from the Tempur-Ultifit two way stretch, and the package holds the protector only.
A cool knit surface paired with full waterproofing and a lifetime warranty from Tempur-Pedic make the case for it. Laundry takes some care: low heat only in the dryer, no chlorine bleach and no ironing.
Who it's for
Warm sleepers on a queen bed, including thicker mattresses, who want liquid protection under a cool knit surface. Shoppers after extra cushioning or a zippered allergy encasement should shop for those products instead.
Pros and cons
- Stretch sides cover deep mattresses
- Waterproof knit top
- Cool to the touch fabric
- Machine washable and dryable
- Low heat drying only
- Chlorine bleach and ironing not allowed
- Protector only, nothing else included
Performance notes
The high molecular weight yarn in the knit is what makes the surface feel cool on contact. The waterproof layer stops liquid from reaching the mattress, and the two way stretch on top and sides holds the fit as you move during the night.

Frequently asked questions
Will the Tempur-Pedic Cool Luxury protector fit a queen mattress with a pillow top?
It fits mattresses up to 20 inches deep through stretch on the top and sides. Measure the full height including the pillow top; anything deeper falls outside the listed fit.
Does the Tempur-Pedic Cool Luxury protector only work on Tempur mattresses?
No. The description says it suits any mattress up to 20 inches deep, so the mattress brand does not matter as long as it is queen size.
Is the Tempur-Pedic Cool Luxury Mattress Protector a topper?
No. It is a waterproof protector only. It does not add cushioning or change the feel of the mattress.
