Overview
The Fluance X851WC is a surround sound system finished in natural walnut, rated for 400 watts and connected via XLR. At 111.44 lb, the listed weight points to a full multi-speaker setup rather than a single cabinet.
XLR is a balanced, pro-audio style connector that's less common on standard home receivers than RCA or HDMI, so it's worth confirming your equipment supports it before buying. The natural walnut finish points to furniture-grade cabinetry meant to sit in a living space rather than stay hidden, and the 400 watt rating suggests headroom for a larger room.
- 400W power rating
- XLR balanced connectivity
- Natural walnut cabinet finish
- 111.44 lb total system weight
Who it's for
Aimed at buyers assembling a higher-power surround system who already have XLR-compatible equipment on hand. Not the right pick for anyone wanting simple plug-and-play RCA or HDMI hookup.
Pros and cons
- 400 watt rating suits larger rooms
- XLR balanced connection resists cable noise
- Natural walnut finish for furniture-style decor
- 111.44 lb total weight makes for a heavy install
- XLR wiring is less common on home receivers
- No count of individual speakers listed
Performance notes
The 400 watt rating gives the system headroom for larger rooms, and the balanced XLR connection resists picking up noise over longer cable runs compared with unbalanced RCA cabling.
