Overview
Golfers with average swing speeds get a soft feeling dozen from Srixon, built around a FastLayer Core that moves from a soft center to a firm outer edge. A speed dimple pattern trims drag and adds lift for distance and steadier flight in wind.
Soft feel without giving up distance is the aim, from the graded core. This is an older generation, so newer refinements are not included.
Who it's for
Weekend golfers who value a soft click off the face and decent distance will like it. Players chasing tour level wedge spin should look at a urethane model.
Pros and cons
- Soft feel on all shots
- Graded core adds distance
- Dimples help in wind
- One year warranty
- Prior generation model
- Ionomer limits wedge spin
- Compression not listed
Performance notes
Distance and feel come from the FastLayer Core, which is soft in the middle for comfort and firm at the edge for speed. The thin cover adds some greenside spin, and the dimple pattern steadies flight in wind.
