Overview
Programming drum patterns on a long step grid is the point of this analog drum machine. Eight drum voices are generated by analog circuitry, and a distortion stage adds grit to the output.
The reason to look at it is the analog sound source and the long sequencer in a compact case. The limitation is thin documentation, since the USB role, warranty terms and connectors are not spelled out.
Who it's for
Electronic musicians building rhythm tracks by hand will use the voices and the step grid together. Players who need sample-based drum kits, or clear connection details, should look at another unit.
Pros and cons
- Eight drum sounds
- Long step sequencer
- USB role not described
- Item type field says drum controller
- Warranty entry points to a website
Performance notes
Analog circuitry generates each drum voice instead of playing back samples, which is where the warm, rich character in the listing comes from. The sequencer steps through programmed hits, and the distortion roughens the combined output.
