Overview
Not the usual thin stick, these Crayola crayons are large eggs shaped to fit a toddler's palm so first marks come easily. The washable wax cleans from skin and most washable clothing.
An egg shape that rests in the palm lets young toddlers color before they can hold a pencil grip. The big rounded tip makes broad marks, so detailed coloring is not their job.
Who it's for
Designed for babies past their first birthday, preschool classrooms and kids with diverse grip needs. Children who can already hold standard crayons will want something finer.
Pros and cons
- Fits a toddler's palm
- Washable from skin and clothes
- Long lasting large size
- Useful as an adaptive tool
- Broad marks only
- Not for detailed coloring
- Shade names not listed
Performance notes
A whole hand grip spreads pressure over a large surface, so even light pressure leaves color. The size means each crayon lasts far longer than a standard stick.
