Overview
Strong's ACFL-03 is a nylon monofilament fishing line spooled to 656 feet, rated at 70 pound test with a listed diameter of 0.8 millimeters.
At 70 pounds of rated strength on a 0.8 millimeter diameter, this sits toward the heavier end of monofilament lines, more suited to leader or heavy tackle use than finesse presentations. The listing's own technique and color fields do not line up cleanly with a monofilament product, so treat the pound test, length, and diameter as the figures to rely on.
- Nylon monofilament construction
- 656 foot spool length
- 70 pound line weight
- 0.8mm listed diameter
Who it's for
Anglers who need a heavy, single count spool of monofilament line for larger tackle or leader material. Not aimed at anglers wanting light line for finesse fishing, given the 70 pound rating.
Pros and cons
- 70 pound test suits heavy tackle
- 656 feet gives room for multiple re spools
- Not suited to light or finesse fishing
- Some listing fields, like technique, do not match a monofilament product
Performance notes
Nylon monofilament at this pound test and diameter is built for abrasion resistance and knot strength under load rather than the low visibility or thin diameter that braided lines target. A 656 foot spool at 70 pound test gives enough length for repeated re spooling or leader cutting on larger tackle.
