Dr.Fish Bucktail Jig Lure 3 Pack

Overview

Three 1/2 ounce lead jig heads dressed in white bucktail and fitted with needle point hooks form the Dr.Fish DFJUA3A#3 set. It's built as a weighted jig for casting and jigging presentations rather than a finesse soft-plastic setup.

Bucktail dressing gives the jig natural movement in the water even on a slow retrieve, a different action profile than silicone or rubber skirted jigs. The 1/2 ounce head size points to casting or moderate-depth jigging rather than deep vertical work.

• 3-pack lead jig heads
• 1/2 ounce weight each
• White bucktail dressing
• Needle point hook technique

Who it's for

Fits anglers who fish bucktail jigs for species like striped bass, bluefish or other bucktail-responsive fish. Not intended for anglers wanting soft-plastic swimbait action or heavier deep-water jig heads.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The lead head gives the jig its casting weight and sink rate, while the bucktail hair breathes and pulses in the water on the retrieve or drop, which is what draws strikes. Needle point hooks are meant to penetrate cleanly once a fish takes the jig.
