Overview
Four mattress heights inside a New Zealand pine frame let the DaVinci Fiona drop its deck as a baby grows. Later it converts to a toddler bed, daybed and full-size bed using separately sold kits.
Lasting from infancy to a full-size bed makes it a long term piece, and a waterproof pad comes in the box. Each conversion stage needs its own kit, which adds up over the years.
Who it's for
Families furnishing a traditional nursery with plans to keep the bed for years will get the longest use. Parents who prefer an all-inclusive box should look for a bundle with kits.
Pros and cons
- Converts up to a full-size bed
- Waterproof pad included
- Low emission certification
- Four mattress heights
- Toddler kit sold separately
- Full-size kit sold separately
- Mattress not included
Performance notes
Mattress height is the main adjustment: high for reaching a newborn, low once the child can stand. The crib stage ends when the child climbs or reaches the stated height. Conversion kits change the rails for each later stage.
