Overview
Parents who want drinks to touch only silicone get that from the Boon Swig. A silicone pouch inside the insulated walls holds the liquid, and a valved straw with a rotating cover seals it against spills.
Boon holds drinks cool and away from plastic with a removable silicone insert and straw. The listing says top rack dishwasher safe in one place and hand wash only in another.
Who it's for
Toddlers learning straws at home or on short outings suit this insulated cup. Kids who drink a lot away from home may need a larger bottle.
Pros and cons
- Drinks touch only silicone
- Valved, spill-proof straw
- Pouch detaches for cleaning
- Care instructions conflict
- More parts to clean
Performance notes
The valve opens when sucked and closes otherwise, and the rotating cover adds a second seal. Double walls slow heat transfer, which is how drinks stay cool.
