Overview
NUK built this learner cup around a soft silicone weighted straw that follows the liquid, so a baby can drink from any angle. Easy-grip handles help small hands hold it, and they come off once the child no longer needs them.
A weighted straw removes the need to tip the cup up, which makes the switch from bottle to straw easier. Soft silicone is gentle on gums. The listing says it prevents spills when sipped but gives no claim about leaks in a bag.
Who it's for
Babies learning to sip, with parents wanting a cup that works even when tipped sideways, suit it well. Families who need a sealed travel cup should look for a spill-proof valve design.
Pros and cons
- Weighted straw works at any angle
- Soft straw gentle on gums
- Handles detach as baby grows
- Air vent limits swallowed air
- No leak-proof claim for travel
- Straw parts need separate cleaning
Performance notes
The weighted end of the straw drops toward the lowest point of the liquid, so a baby gets a drink even when the cup leans. The air vent lets air replace liquid smoothly, which reduces gulping. Soft silicone flexes under biting, so chewing wears it over time.
