Overview

The Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch Remote is a battery-powered control button for existing Philips Hue lights, not a wired in-wall switch, and it requires a Philips Hue Bridge to function.

Despite sitting in a wall-switch category, this is a portable, magnet or adhesive mounted remote rather than an electrical replacement for a toggle switch. It only controls Hue lights already connected through a Hue Bridge, so it adds nothing on its own without that ecosystem already in place.
