Overview
A home theater owner adding low bass to a surround or stereo system gets a compact floor standing SVS subwoofer with a large driver and its own amplifier. Tuning runs through an app with auto EQ, and the cabinet comes in piano gloss black with a grille.
App control with auto EQ handles tuning for the room, and a long manufacturer warranty backs the purchase. Read the listing with care: its description is written for the ported PB sibling, and several spec fields, such as battery life and car use, do not fit a home subwoofer.
Who it's for
Home theater and stereo owners adding a subwoofer to a receiver setup in a living room or den get what it was built for. Car audio buyers should look elsewhere, since it runs on corded power.
Pros and cons
- 12 inch driver in a compact cabinet
- 325 W listed output power
- App control with auto EQ
- Five year manufacturer warranty
- Description covers the ported PB model
- Spec fields include errors like battery life
- Input connections not listed
Performance notes
Low frequency output depends on the large driver, the amplifier power behind it and where the cabinet stands in the room. Corner placement raises bass level, while a spot nearer the main speakers can blend more smoothly. Auto EQ in the app adjusts the response to suit the room.
