Overview
Not a full depth classical, this Ibanez is a thinline nylon string guitar with a spruce top and ovangkol back and sides. A T-bar undersaddle pickup sends its sound to an amp, and the slim body is easy to hold.
Comfort and stage readiness lead: the thin body feels closer to an electric, and the pickup handles amplification. Unplugged, the shallow body gives less volume and bass than a full classical.
Who it's for
Players moving from electric or steel string who want nylon tone in a slim body for gigs. Students of formal classical guitar should look at a full depth instrument.
Pros and cons
- Slim body is comfortable
- Undersaddle pickup for amplification
- Spruce top for clear tone
- High gloss natural finish
- No case or accessories listed
- Less unplugged volume
- Body wood listed inconsistently
Performance notes
Plugged in, the T-bar undersaddle pickup reads string vibration at the saddle, so amplified tone is consistent and feedback stays low thanks to the thin body. Unplugged, the spruce top carries the voice but the shallow body limits projection.
