Overview
A stage player who wants a portable digital piano with a deep sound engine gets dual piano engines and dual sample synths here. A Triple Sensor keybed pairs with Virtual Hammer Action Technology for the playing feel.
The reason to look at it is the sound engine, with twice the memory of the earlier generation in a portable red body. The limitation is the shorter key count and the unreliable weight entry, and the listing names no stand or pedal.
Who it's for
Players who travel with a stage piano and want an extended memory for sounds will see the point. Pianists who need the full range of notes, or who want accessories included, should look at the longer model or add them separately.
Pros and cons
- Triple Sensor keybed
- Virtual Hammer Action Technology
- Dual piano engines
- Dual sample synths
- Weight entry looks wrong
- Stand and pedal not mentioned
- Shorter key count than a full piano
Performance notes
The Triple Sensor keybed detects key motion at several points, and the virtual hammer action technology shapes how it responds to touch. Two piano engines and two sample synths can be combined, and the extra memory holds more sounds. A headphone jack allows private practice.
