Overview
Not a slowpitch bat, the 2022 DeMarini Spryte is a fastpitch bat with a two-piece composite build and a Paradox composite barrel. A Big D end cap is described as cutting vibration, and the light swing helps barrel control and bat speed.
A lightweight drop helps younger hitters get the barrel through the zone, and a soft, responsive barrel feel is the stated aim. The component field lists only the bat, and the handle material reads as wood, which looks odd beside a composite design.
Who it's for
Youth fastpitch players who need a lightweight swing and play under one of the listed organizations. Slowpitch players and older athletes who need a heavier bat should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Light swing for bat speed
- Two-piece composite construction
- Barrel described as soft and responsive
- Several certifications listed
- Handle material listed as wood
- Bat only, no grip or case
- Barrel length not stated
Performance notes
A lighter drop lets a young hitter accelerate the barrel with less effort, and the two-piece build is meant to soften feel at contact. Vibration control on mishits comes from the end cap.
