Overview
A single piece of aluminum alloy forms the whole of this Easton bat, ending in a thin handle wrapped with an all-sports grip. The swing weight is balanced and the knob is traditional.
Balanced swing weight plus a slim grip make for a controllable bat that approved league play can use. The limitation is that the listing says nothing about barrel length or how far the sweet spot extends.
Who it's for
Young softball players moving up to a drop ten bat can use it in sanctioned play. Anyone who wants a two piece composite design or a lighter drop should shop other models.
Pros and cons
- Balanced swing weight
- Thin handle for easy grip
- One piece alloy is durable
- Approved for several leagues
- Single piece transmits more vibration
- Barrel length not described
- Age range listed as kid only
Performance notes
A bat without a joint passes energy straight from handle to barrel, so stinging on mishits is more likely. A balanced swing weight puts the mass neither heavily in the barrel nor in the handle, so the bat is easier to bring around.
