TRUSCEND Swimmax Jointed Swimbait

Overview

The TRUSCEND J6N-AU is a hard plastic fishing plug sold in a pack of three, each lure about 3 inches long and weighing 0.4 ounces. It suits anglers who want a compact hardbait for casting to bass or panfish without buying lures one at a time.

Plugs like this one work by imitating a swimming baitfish through their hard body and hook placement rather than through scent or soft-plastic action, so results depend heavily on retrieve speed and where you are fishing. TRUSCEND sells this size mainly through multi-buy listings, and the three-pack format matters because plugs are easy to lose to snags or a cut line. The listing does not specify hook gauge or a dive depth, so anglers who want a very particular hook style should check the photos closely before buying.

• 3 inch (8cm) hard plastic plug
• 0.4 ounce weight per lure
• Sold in packs of 3
• Plastic construction

Who it's for

Anglers who fish freshwater for bass or similar species and want a small, castable hardbait to add to a tackle box. Also fits anyone replacing lost plugs rather than starting a lure collection from zero.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

As a hard plug, action comes from the body shape and hook placement rather than from scent or a soft body, so how it swims depends on retrieve speed and rod angle. The listing does not give a dive depth or buoyancy rating, so anglers targeting a specific depth zone will need to test it themselves.
