Overview
Hearing aid derived AccuVoice processing drives this ZVOX bar, lifting voices above music and effects across six adjustable levels. Dual built in subwoofers supply bass from the same aluminum cabinet.
Clear dialogue is the focus, which helps viewers who struggle with mumbled TV speech. Inputs are described only as multiple, with no detail on HDMI or optical, so connection needs checking.
Who it's for
Older viewers and anyone tired of riding the volume between quiet scenes and loud ads. Home theater fans wanting discrete surround channels need a full speaker system.
Pros and cons
- Six levels of voice boost
- Built in subwoofers save space
- Levels out loud commercials
- Flexible mounting positions
- Input types not listed
- No separate subwoofer or rears
- Wide bar for small TVs
Performance notes
Voice boost raises the frequency range of speech relative to everything else, so dialogue cuts through without turning the whole mix up. Output leveling compresses sudden jumps in loudness. Virtual surround processing widens the stage, but sound still comes from the front.
