Overview
An activated carbon cartridge mounted at the tap cleans water in this PUR faucet system, then passes it over natural minerals for taste. A change light signals when the cartridge is spent, and the unit attaches without tools.
PUR's certified lead reduction covers a long contaminant list in a unit that clips on without tools. Filters need replacing often in a busy kitchen, and the listing gives no faucet compatibility details.
Who it's for
Renters and homeowners who want lead-reduced drinking water straight from the kitchen tap without plumbing work get a quick fix. Households drawing large volumes daily may find the frequent cartridge swaps tiresome.
Pros and cons
- Certified to reduce lead
- Filter change light
- Mineral stage for taste
- Frequent filter replacement
- Faucet compatibility not listed
Performance notes
Water flows through activated carbon, which reduces chlorine and the certified contaminant list, before passing over natural minerals for taste. Filter life is tracked by the change light, so replacement follows actual use. Flow rate through the filter is not given.
