Overview
A built-in ladder and an extra-long slide link the two levels of this Step2 cottage, turning the top platform into a lookout with a quick way down. Inside, a Dutch-style door opens onto a kitchenette with a pretend oven, sink and cooktop, while working shutters and a doorbell finish the storybook look.
Pairing a kitchenette below with a platform and slide above means one structure covers both quiet pretend play and active play. Its height and footprint make it a yard fixture, not something to move around, and the size fields in the listing disagree.
Who it's for
Families with a roomy yard and children in the early school years can use the kitchen, ladder and slide together. Households with limited outdoor space or very young toddlers should look at a single-level cottage.
Pros and cons
- Two stories with platform and slide
- Kitchenette with oven, sink and cooktop
- Working shutters and doorbell
- Made in the USA with imported parts
- Heavy and hard to relocate
- Listed dimensions conflict across fields
- Warranty not listed
- Title mentions a climbing wall the description omits
Performance notes
Play flow comes from the loop the design creates: in through the door, up the ladder, out onto the platform and down the slide. Stability depends on the plastic structure and on setting it on level ground, since the platform and slide carry children above the lawn.

Frequently asked questions
How much yard space does the Step2 Enchanting Adventures playhouse need?
The description gives assembled dimensions of 83 x 106.5 x 48.5 inches, but another listing field shows 199 inches deep, likely with the slide run counted. Leave extra clearance and confirm the footprint with Step2 before preparing a spot.
Does the Enchanting Adventures playhouse have a rock climbing wall?
The title mentions one, but the description only describes a built-in ladder up to the top platform, so do not count on a separate climbing wall.
Is the Step2 Enchanting Adventures playhouse meant for indoor use?
It is sold as an outdoor playhouse. The kitchenette is the indoor space inside the playhouse, not an indoor-use rating for the structure.
Does the Enchanting Adventures playhouse come with play food or dishes?
No accessories are listed. The included items are the playhouse with window shutters, Dutch-style door, working doorbell and slide.
