Overview
VTech built this Sing It Out as a kid-size microphone with songs to sing along to and a button that drops out the vocals. Party lights change color with the music, and Bluetooth lets it play a child's own tracks from a device.
A built-in song list, lights and voice effects make it a full performance toy in a small body. The limitation is power and parts: the demo batteries are not meant for regular use, and the listing says a music player is not included.
Who it's for
Young children in the preschool age range who enjoy singing familiar nursery songs will use it. Parents should have fresh batteries ready. Older kids who want a full speaker or a larger library should look at a karaoke machine.
Pros and cons
- Songs, lights and voice effects
- Vocal drop-out button
- Bluetooth for your own music
- Demo batteries only
- Music player not included
- Narrow age range
Performance notes
The vocal drop-out button removes the singer so the child can sing alone, and the voice changer applies effects to the voice. The lights shift with the beat. Battery power is the limit, since the supplied cells are for demonstration.
