Overview
Kodak's Step Slim is a thin, palm-sized printer that takes photos over Bluetooth from the Fun app on iOS and Android. Prints come out on glossy sticky-back paper that is described as water-resistant, smudge-proof and tear-resistant.
Choose it for travel and scrapbook snapshots from a phone, in a body slim enough to carry in a bag. The limit is the small print size, a modest sheet capacity and conflicting capacity fields.
Who it's for
A student, tourist or hobbyist who likes handing out small photos will use the app and the sticky backing. People who print from a computer or want big photos should look at a larger printer.
Pros and cons
- Slim palm-sized body
- Bluetooth app printing
- Works with iOS and Android
- Small print size
- Sheet capacity listed two ways
- Prints only, no copying
Performance notes
Image sharpness depends on the source photo and the app, because the printer reproduces what the phone sends. The small paper size and the resolution limit how much fine detail shows. Prints are described as resistant to water, smudges and tears, which suits handling and sticking.
