Pet Prime Automatic Dog Ball Thrower

Overview

The Pet Prime launcher fires 2 inch tennis balls automatically for small and medium dogs, with three balls included and a throw distance that adjusts from about 10 to 30 feet. It runs on an AC adapter and is built for both indoor and outdoor fetch sessions.

Marketed as a boredom buster and anxiety reliever, this ABS plastic launcher (model 7152/7233) is sized at roughly 10 by 10 by 10 inches and weighs under 2 kilograms, small enough to move between rooms or the yard. It ships with three 2 inch tennis balls, an AC adapter, and an instruction manual, and carries a 1 year warranty. Because it plugs in rather than running on batteries, it needs to stay near an outlet or use an extension cord outdoors.

• Automatic ball launcher with adjustable 10-30 ft throw distance
• Includes 3 2-inch tennis balls, AC adapter, and instruction manual
• Indoor and outdoor use for small to medium dogs
• 1 year manufacturer warranty

Who it's for

Suited to owners of small or medium dogs who want a way to keep fetch going without throwing every ball themselves, whether that is for a high energy dog during the workday or for exercise on days when a walk is not practical. It is not built with large or powerful dogs in mind.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The launcher's main variable is its adjustable throw distance, which the listing states covers roughly 10 to 30 feet, letting owners tune throws to the size of the room or yard. Automatic launch cycles reload from the included balls without the dog needing to place them by hand, though the listing does not detail the exact reload mechanism.
