Overview
DreamLine's Alliance Pro BG is a semi-frameless bypass shower door whose glass panels slide past each other on rollers along a slim headrail. A matte black aluminum frame holds clear tempered glass, and an integrated towel bar is built into the door.
Bypass sliding needs no clearance in front of the shower, which helps in tight bathrooms with a vanity or toilet nearby. Installation depends on an adequate threshold depth, and the listing gives no warranty or parts list.
Who it's for
Remodelers updating a standard shower opening to a matte black look get a sliding door that needs no clearance in front. Openings outside its range, or curbs thinner than required, call for a different model.
Pros and cons
- No swing clearance needed
- Clear tempered safety glass
- Matte black frame suits modern fixtures
- Integrated towel bar
- Warranty not listed
- Needs a minimum threshold depth
- Matte black is the only finish here
- Fits a narrow width range
Performance notes
Smooth travel depends on the rollers running along the headrail and on a level, square opening, since an out-of-plumb wall makes bypass panels drift or bind. Water control comes down to the seal along the threshold and the overlap of the panels.
