Overview
Not a wall-hugging flat panel, the Samsung Serif is a sculpted I-shaped TV that stands on an easel or doubles as a shelf. Its matte anti-reflection screen shows quantum dot color in bright rooms.
Furniture-like design and a glare-cutting matte screen make it work in sunny living spaces. It is heavy, and audio from the built-in speakers is basic for a large screen.
Who it's for
Bright open-plan rooms and design-minded owners get a TV that looks good switched off. People focused on home theater sound or a minimal wall mount should look at a standard set.
Pros and cons
- Matte screen cuts glare
- Two stands included
- Ambient Mode shows art when idle
- AirPlay and Google Cast
- HDR10 only listed format
- Built-in sound is basic
Performance notes
Color comes from the quantum dot layer, while the matte film diffuses reflections from windows and lamps. The Quantum Processor upscales lower resolution sources to the panel's full resolution.
