Overview
Billconch's B2 pistol safe unlocks four ways: fingerprint, app, numeric keypad or physical key, and its steel interior measuring 10.62 x 5.84 x 2.55 inches holds one large handgun or two standard-size pistols plus small valuables.
The app layer sets this apart from most gun safes in the category, letting an owner manage up to 40 fingerprints remotely, view an unlock log by user ID, and change passwords without opening the box. It arrives in a demo mode for testing before the fingerprint sensor and locking mechanism are armed for real use.
- Exterior 10.82 x 8.66 x 2.75 inches
- Stores up to 40 fingerprints
- ESD-safe foam interior sponge
- 365-day warranty
Who it's for
Fits a household that wants shared, trackable access to a handgun safe, such as multiple family members each with their own fingerprint, and is comfortable pairing a gun safe to a phone app. Less suited to anyone who wants a fully offline, mechanical-only lock with no app dependency.
Pros and cons
- Four unlock methods including app and fingerprint
- Tracks unlock history by user
- Fits one large or two standard handguns
- Depends on a companion app for full functionality
- Ships in demo mode, needs setup before real use
- Steel gauge and lock rating not specified
Performance notes
The fingerprint sensor reads in about one second and can store up to 40 prints, while the companion app handles fingerprint management, password changes, short-range unlocking and an unlock history by user ID. A double U-lock with a security cable resists prying, and the hinge is designed to open in one motion rather than the slower hydraulic-lever hinges Billconch says older safes use.
