Overview
Holewor's portable safe carries two full-size handguns in an 11.3 x 7.2 x 3 inch foam-lined interior, with a carry handle and an LCD screen that reads internal temperature and humidity. It unlocks by fingerprint, PIN or backup key.
The temperature and humidity readout is unusual for this category and is aimed at rust prevention rather than security, flagging when it is time to add a desiccant pack. At 8.5 pounds with a built-in handle, it is heavier and larger than the compact single-pistol boxes here, positioning it as a dual-gun case for travel rather than a slim under-seat box.
- Exterior 12.6 x 9.84 x 3.15 inches
- Carry handle for portability
- Stores up to 100 fingerprints
- 40.16 inch steel security cable
Who it's for
Fits someone storing two full-size pistols who wants to carry the whole case by handle between a bedroom, office and vehicle, and cares about humidity affecting the guns inside. Less suited to anyone who only needs to store one compact pistol in the smallest possible footprint.
Pros and cons
- Holds two full-size pistols with foam lining
- LCD shows temperature and humidity
- USB-C backup power if batteries die
- Heavier and larger than single-pistol boxes at 8.5 lbs
- LCD readout only shows briefly after each use
- No stated pry or drill resistance rating
Performance notes
Up to 100 fingerprints and 10 six-digit PIN codes can be programmed for access, and a USB-C port supplies backup power if the batteries run down or keys go missing. The LCD panel cycles through temperature, humidity, unlock status and battery level for about ten seconds after each use. A 40.16 inch steel cable anchors the case to a table, drawer or vehicle interior.
