Overview
Not a standalone camera you check by hand, the Moultrie Exo sends photos over Verizon to the Moultrie Mobile app. An invisible infrared flash covers night shots, and a power port accepts external solar.
App access with alerts, activity charts and maps makes scouting from home easy. Batteries, an SD card and a monthly plan add up before it ever takes a photo.
Who it's for
Deer hunters and owners of remote buildings within Verizon coverage. Areas served only by other carriers need a different camera.
Pros and cons
- Invisible IR flash
- Cloud storage through the app
- Antenna and strap included
- Port for external solar
- Batteries and SD card not included
- Narrow field of view
Performance notes
Detection reaches as far as the infrared flash, so night images fade beyond that distance. A narrow field of view gives more detail in the center but covers less width, and the trigger speed governs whether walking deer stay in frame.
