Overview
Not a crib that ends with the toddler years, the Storkcraft Horizon converts to a toddler bed, a daybed and finally a full size bed with headboard and optional footboard. An adjustable mattress support lowers as the baby grows.
Reaching a full size bed means one purchase can carry a child well past the nursery. The listing mixes model names and mattress height counts, so details are worth confirming.
Who it's for
Families with space for a standard crib and plans to keep the furniture long term get the most conversions. Small apartments and travel needs call for a mini or portable crib.
Pros and cons
- Converts to full size headboard
- GREENGUARD Gold certified
- Adjustable mattress height
- 3D app assembly instructions
- Toddler guardrail kit sold separately
- Full bed rails not included
- Listing names Carmel and Horizon
Performance notes
The mattress support moves down as the child learns to stand, which raises the rail height relative to the mattress. Conversion swaps the front rail for a guardrail or removes it, using the same end panels.
