Overview
The Kitty Korner Cat Door is a slidelock hinge kit that replaces a standard interior door hinge to create a pet passage, sold here in the righthand configuration. It is made of white plastic and fits doors up to 2 inches thick.
Rather than cutting a flap into the door panel, this design swaps in at the hinge, which is the patented approach Kitty Korner markets as the original version of this style. Buyers need to confirm hinge side before ordering since left and right kits are not interchangeable.
- Slidelock hinge design replaces the door hinge
- Fits interior doors up to 2 inches thick
- White plastic flap closure
- Sold specifically as the righthand kit
Who it's for
Fits households wanting a cat passage through an interior door without cutting the door itself, provided the hinge side matches this righthand kit. Exterior doors, thicker doors, and lefthand configurations are outside its scope.
Pros and cons
- No cutting into the door panel required
- Fits doors up to 2 inches thick
- Backed by a 30-day money-back return policy, minus shipping
- Righthand and lefthand kits are not interchangeable
- Plastic construction only
- Not smart-home compatible
Performance notes
Installation relies on swapping the door's existing hinge rather than cutting a hole, which the brand states can be done in minutes without permanently altering the door panel.
