Overview
Discoveryopt's GEN-II is a 5-25x56mm first focal plane rifle scope built around a 34mm tube for long-range and PRS-style shooting. It ships with MRAD turrets, a zero stop system and a Christmas Tree reticle for holdover and wind corrections without dialing.
This is a dedicated precision optic rather than a general hunting scope, sized and turreted for PRS or rimfire competition and serious long-range work. The 34mm tube and 36 MRAD of elevation travel give it more adjustment range than a typical hunting scope. Expect a heavier package than a compact hunting scope in exchange for that range and glass quality.
- First focal plane MRAD reticle scales with magnification
- 34mm tube for extended turret travel
- Nitrogen purged, o-ring sealed for water and fog resistance
- Includes sunshade, lens covers and cleaning cloth
Who it's for
Suits PRS and rimfire competition shooters and long-range hunters who want first focal plane MRAD tracking and wide elevation travel without paying premium-tier prices. Not a fit for anyone who wants a light scope for a walking hunt, since weight is a recurring theme among owners.
Pros and cons
- Wide 36 MRAD elevation travel for long range
- Zero stop turret returns to a set zero fast
- Christmas Tree reticle for holdover without dialing
- Side parallax adjustable from 25 yards to infinity
Performance notes
The 34mm tube and 36 MRAD of elevation travel are built for shooters who dial for distance rather than holdover alone, and the zero stop lets you return to a set zero without counting clicks. Side parallax adjustment covers 25 yards to infinity, and the Christmas Tree reticle gives holdover and windage references without touching the turrets. Japanese ED glass is the stated basis for its low-light clarity.
