Overview
A 1-5x24 low power variable optic (LPVO) from Viiko built for long eye relief, from 5 to 7.6 inches depending on magnification, aimed at rifles like the Mosin 1891/30, M39 and M44 where the scope sits well forward of the shooter's eye.
Long eye relief scopes exist to clear a rear-mounted charging handle or bolt on older military rifles, and that is the job this one is built for. The mount shown in listing photos is not included, which has tripped up more than one buyer expecting it in the box.
- 1x-5x magnification, SFP LPVO
- 5 to 7.6 inch eye relief
- 30mm one-piece tube, nitrogen purged
- Half mil-dot reticle, +/-40 MOA turrets
Pros and cons
- Long eye relief clears rear-mounted actions on surplus rifles
- Glass clarity rated well above the price point by multiple owners
- Allows both-eyes-open shooting for better field awareness
- Comes with flip-up lens covers per at least one buyer
Performance notes
Glass clarity is repeatedly described as good for the price, with a red illuminated half mil-dot reticle.
