Overview
Not a single-beam lamp, this Nitecore headlamp mixes a spotlight, floodlight and red light, and a proximity sensor dims it automatically near objects. USB-C charging tops it up quickly.
Smart dimming cuts glare when reading a map or working close up, and it weighs little for running. The listing does not give a waterproof level.
Who it's for
Trail runners, hikers and anyone working in the dark get a versatile light that charges fast. Divers or heavy-rain users should check water resistance elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Light for its output
- Spot, flood and red modes
- Proximity sensor dims automatically
- Fast USB-C charging
- Waterproof level not listed
- Battery capacity not given
- Strap adjustment details missing
Performance notes
The proximity sensor drops output as the lamp nears an object, which reduces glare, reflection and heat. Combining spot and flood covers distance and peripheral vision at once.
