Overview
The ATN X-Sight Pro (DGWSXS5255LRF-ATN) is a digital day and night rifle scope with an onboard ballistic calculator and a built in laser rangefinder. It records video in high resolution and streams over WiFi, aimed at hunters who want one optic that works from sunrise to full dark.
This is the X-Sight 5 LRF line, where the model code, not the general attribute copy, tells the real story: rangefinding and ballistics are built in rather than bolted on. The 3.0 average rating reflects that split more than any flaw in the optics themselves.
- Onboard ballistic calculator
- Integrated laser rangefinder
- Day and night digital viewing
- WiFi video streaming and recording
Who it's for
Suits hunters comfortable working through a firmware check and app setup before their first outing, who want ballistic and range data in the same view as the reticle. Not a fit for anyone who wants to mount a scope and go without touching a menu.
Pros and cons
- Built in laser rangefinder feeds the ballistic calculator
- Clear reticles in day and night modes
- Battery life holds up over long sessions
- Video and photo capture in the field
- Some units arrive with outdated or buggy firmware
- Menu can freeze during setup
- Firmware below version 476 requires a factory return
Performance notes
The laser rangefinder pairs with the ballistic calculator so a single button press measures distance and feeds it into the aim point. Several buyers instead hit dead on arrival problems: units that would not power on for hours, screens showing corrupted graphics, or firmware old enough (below version 476) to require boxing the scope up and returning it before it could even be mounted.
