Owners repeatedly describe this as strong value against pricier glass, with a genuinely bright red dot at 1x and clarity that competes with scopes a tier above, though a few note the edges and low light performance trail true high end optics.

Overview
The Primary Arms SLX 1-6x24 Gen IV (PA-SLX-1-6X24S-NOVA) is a second focal plane low power variable optic built around the illuminated ACSS Nova reticle, aimed at close range to mid distance rifle use on a 30mm tube.
At 10.4 inches and 17.9 oz, it's built for AR platform rifles that need fast target acquisition at 1x plus reach out to 6x. The reticle uses a fiber optic wire for a daylight bright red dot effect at low power, backed by 11 illumination settings, and an integrated throw lever lets you change magnification without adding an aftermarket lever.
- 1-6x24 second focal plane configuration
- Illuminated ACSS Nova reticle, 11 brightness settings
- 30mm tube, 10.4 inches, 17.9 oz

Who it's for
Fits a shooter who wants red dot speed at 1x and useful magnification out to 6x on one optic, especially someone stepping up from a basic red dot into the LVPO category without flagship pricing. Less suited to a precision long range shooter who needs first focal plane holdovers that scale with zoom.
Pros and cons

- 0.1 MIL clicks allow precise, repeatable zeroing
- Integrated throw lever for fast magnification changes
- Backed by Primary Arms' transferable lifetime warranty
- 24mm objective lets in less light in low light conditions
