A sound way to stock the C545 for several years at a fraction of the manufacturer's per-filter cost. Order carbon prefilters separately if odor control is part of why you run the unit.

Overview
Four H13 grade True HEPA filters made to replace Winix part 1712-0096-00, the Filter S used in the C545 air purifier. Each measures about 13 inches tall by 11 inches wide and an inch thick, with the media built on FSC-certified paper. This pack contains the HEPA element only, with no carbon prefilters included.
- 4 pack, H13 grade True HEPA
- Replaces Winix part 1712-0096-00
- Roughly 13 x 11 x 1 inches per filter
- Media built on FSC-certified paper
Who it's for
Specifically for Winix C545 owners, including the Costco-sold variant, who want a multi-year filter supply at once. Owners of other Winix models such as the 5500-2 or AM90 should check their own part number, since Filter S is not a shared size across the range.
Pros and cons
- Four filters covers several years of use
- Drops into the C545 without modification
- Costs well below manufacturer replacement pricing
- No tools needed to change
- HEPA only, carbon prefilters not included
- Fits the C545 alone, not other Winix models
- Aftermarket rather than Winix branded
Performance notes
H13 media captures 99.97 percent of particles down to 0.3 microns, which covers dust, pollen and smoke particulate. Replacement interval runs 6-12 months depending on how hard the unit works, and a loaded filter is the usual reason a purifier gets louder or moves less air rather than any fault in the fan. The swap needs no tools: open the unit, pull the spent element, seat the new one.

Frequently asked questions
Do these filters fit the Winix C545 sold at Costco?
Yes.

No. It contains the Filter S HEPA element only, matching part number 1712-0096-00.
How often should the Winix C545 HEPA filter be replaced?
