Overview
On the tee box or in the fairway, the Shot Scope PRO rangefinder measures distance to a target through magnified optics. A waterproof polycarbonate body handles wet rounds, and the unit is light enough for a bag pocket.
Shot Scope offers long range and magnification in a weatherproof shell, covering the basics a golfer looks for in a distance tool. Its listing is thin on everything else, with no word on slope adjustment, display type or power source.
Who it's for
Weekend players and range regulars who play in rain will find the waterproof shell useful. Golfers wanting course maps, slope or a device on the wrist should choose a different tool.
Pros and cons
- Long measuring range
- Magnified optics for distant flags
- Light polycarbonate shell
- Slope function not listed
- No course maps or GPS
- Warranty terms deferred to the maker website
Performance notes
Accuracy at distance rests on holding the optic steady on a narrow target, which the magnification helps with. Reaching the far end of the range depends on the target, such as a flagstick, and the listing gives no detail on target lock or scan modes.
