Overview
Hape's cube plays coordinated music with each of five themes: piano, forest, mechanisms, ocean and rocket. A toddler picks a side and presses a button, or works the bead maze, gears, ball tracks, shape sorter and pinball game.
Music plus several mechanical activities on each face gives a growing child a wide set of things to try. The listing is silent on batteries and cleaning.
Who it's for
Parents of toddlers from twelve months who like tunes and mechanisms will find many activities on every side. Anyone needing a quiet wooden cube, or battery and care details, should look elsewhere.

Performance notes
Each side links music to a theme, and a child chooses the side they want to play. Mechanical activities like gears, a pinball game and a hammer-and-ball game build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
