Overview
A 3-piece variety pack of plastic bass jigs from Delong, each about 9 grams in a large size with a J-hook and integrated weed guard.
The weed guard on these jigs is meant to help the hook slide past cover instead of snagging, useful when working bass around brush or grass. Delong ships them as a 3-piece variety pack rather than a single color, giving a few looks to try in one order.
- 3-piece variety pack
- 9 gram, large-size plastic jig
- J-hook with weed guard
- Aimed at bass
Who it's for
Bass anglers fishing jigs around cover who want a small variety pack to test colors or patterns without committing to a full tackle box of one look.
Pros and cons
- Weed guard helps the jig work through cover
- Variety pack offers a few color options in one purchase
- Only 3 pieces per pack
- Single weight and size offered
Performance notes
A weed guard works by shielding the hook point with stiff bristles or wire until a fish bites down and displaces them, which cuts down on snags when a jig is dragged through cover. At 9 grams and a large body size, these are sized for typical bass water rather than deep or heavy-current presentations.
