Overview
A fragrance-free and detergent-free liquid shampoo made for small animals such as guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and rabbits, sold in an 8oz bottle by Atlantic Rush under the Critter Shampoo name.
Despite how this listing is filed under dog shampoos, the title and manufacturer data both point to small exotic pets as the intended use, not dogs, so treat the category label as a filing error rather than the actual use case. The detergent-free, fragrance-free formula targets animals with thinner or more sensitive skin than most dogs and cats.
- 8oz fragrance-free liquid shampoo
- Detergent free formula
- Made for guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and rabbits
- Hypoallergenic positioning
Who it's for
Owners of small exotic pets like guinea pigs, hedgehogs or sugar gliders who need a gentle wash without added fragrance or detergents. Not intended as a dog shampoo despite the category it is listed under.
Pros and cons
- Fragrance free and detergent free formula
- Made for a range of small exotic pets
- 8oz size suits occasional washing of small animals
- Not intended for dogs despite the site category
- No conditioning claims beyond the gentle base formula
Performance notes
Being both detergent free and fragrance free removes two common irritant sources for thin-skinned small animals, which is the main reasoning behind its hypoallergenic positioning rather than any added conditioning agents.
