Overview
A folding plastic shell opens into the Barbie Getaway House, with rooms laid out so kids can reach in from any side. Inside are a kitchen, bathroom, loft bedroom and movie corner, plus a set of accessories for decorating.
Folding down and opening up quickly makes this an easy house to store and bring back out, and the room mix gives a story a clear set of scenes. Without a doll in the box, it only works for a child who already owns one.
Who it's for
Kids with a Barbie collection and limited floor space get rooms to play in that fold away afterward. Gift givers wanting a complete set should add a doll or look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Folds for storage
- Distinct kitchen, bath, bedroom and movie corner
- Reachable from all sides
- Chairs and decor accessories included
- Doll sold separately
- No manufacturer warranty
- Colors and decorations may vary
Performance notes
Play value comes from the room layout and the open design, which let more than one child reach in at once. The folding shell governs setup and storage, while the small accessory set limits how much decorating is possible.
