Overview
Twisting the plastic barrel pushes up fresh color, so these Crayola Silly Scents crayons never need a sharpener. Each one smells like a mixed treat, such as cinnamon churro or mint chocolate chip.
No sharpening and no broken crayons make them easy for kids to use alone, and the smells make coloring time more fun. The mini size fits small hands. Dessert scents can be a temptation, so they suit kids past the mouthing stage.
Who it's for
Kids old enough to know crayons are not snacks get a playful, mess-free set. Families with toddlers should pick unscented crayons.
Pros and cons
- No sharpening needed
- Barrels prevent breakage
- Fun dessert scents
- Mini size for small hands
- Scents may tempt tasting
- Mini size runs out faster
- Plastic barrels add waste
Performance notes
The twist mechanism feeds out color as the tip wears down, and the plastic barrel supports the core so it does not snap under pressure. Mini length suits small grips but holds less color.
