Strong suction and flexible controls make this a capable upgrade from a low-CFM hood, though the voice feature can trigger on its own and the low-speed noise claim does not match every buyer's experience.

Overview
The BRANO UCR19B-V30-NEW is a 30-inch under-cabinet range hood rated at 900 CFM with voice, gesture, and touch controls, four fan speeds, adjustable LED lighting, and dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters.
It offers three vent configurations, top rectangular, top round, or rear rectangular, so check ducting compatibility before installing.
- 900 CFM, dual motors, 4 fan speeds
- Voice, gesture, and touch control
- Dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters
- Three vent installation options
Who it's for
Cooks who want hands-free control while their hands are full and can accommodate a heavier 53-pound unit during installation will like it most. Anyone who needs a genuinely quiet hood or wants to avoid one that can trigger itself should weigh the noise and voice-activation reports first.
Pros and cons
- 900 CFM suction clears smoke and grease quickly
- Voice, gesture, and touch control options
- Dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters
- Three vent configuration options for different ducting
- At 53 lbs, installation is easier with two people or cabinet jacks
- Voice or gesture sensitivity can trigger the hood on its own
- Not as quiet as the spec sheet suggests to some buyers
- Included drilling template is flimsy enough to cause misaligned holes for some installs
Performance notes
Dual motors and balanced fans push up to 900 CFM through the stainless steel baffle filters, rated to clear up to 95 percent of smoke, and the filters lift straight out for dishwasher cleaning instead of hand-scrubbing grease. The four-speed control lets you dial suction against noise, though the low-speed rating of 65 dB has not matched every buyer's experience, and gesture or voice sensitivity means it can occasionally activate with no one addressing it.
