Overview
Students, note takers and families get a mid size Android tablet with the S Pen in the box and a water and dust resistant body. It runs Samsung's Exynos chip, has a smooth refresh display and expands storage through a microSD slot.
Having the S Pen included plus water resistance makes it a tablet you can hand to anyone and carry anywhere. The LCD panel is dimmer than flagship screens, and the fast charger is sold separately.
Who it's for
Classrooms, kitchens and travel bags suit it, where the pen and water resistance matter. People who edit photos for print or want a bright OLED screen should look at the higher Galaxy Tab models.
Pros and cons
- S Pen comes in the box
- Water and dust resistant body
- Expandable storage with microSD
- Smooth high refresh display
- Fast charger sold separately
- LCD panel, not OLED
- WiFi only, no cellular
- Keyboard cover not included
Performance notes
Daily speed comes from the Exynos chip paired with its memory, which handles streaming, notes and split screen apps without strain but is not aimed at heavy gaming. Battery life depends on screen brightness and network use, and the quoted runtime came from video playback with radios off.
