Overview
Vetality's Twist and Lick is a 2 ounce peanut butter flavored dental gel for dogs, packaged in a spout tube sized as a 30 day supply. It is marketed to clean teeth and freshen breath for 24 hours per application, positioned as a low-effort alternative to brushing.
The twist-and-lick delivery, dispensing the gel straight from a spout tube for the dog to lick rather than requiring a toothbrush, is the product's main differentiator from standard dog toothpaste. It ranks 9th in dog toothpaste on Amazon, suggesting it competes well against brush-applied pastes on convenience rather than ingredient novelty. Suitable for all life stages per the listing.
- 2 oz spout tube
- 30 day supply
- Peanut butter flavor
- 24 hour breath freshening claim
Who it's for
Owners who want daily dental maintenance without brushing, particularly for dogs that resist a toothbrush. Not a replacement for professional dental cleanings if tartar buildup is already significant.
Pros and cons
- No brushing required, dog licks gel from the spout
- 24 hour fresh breath claim per application
- 30 day supply in one tube
- Suitable for all life stages
- Not a substitute for brushing or professional cleanings on dogs with existing tartar
- Peanut butter flavor may not suit dogs with nut sensitivities
Performance notes
The gel is applied by letting the dog lick it directly from the tube's spout, coating teeth as it is consumed rather than through mechanical brushing. The 24 hour fresh breath claim ties to this coating action, and the 2 ounce tube is portioned for a 30 day daily-use supply.
